Fiberglass Planter Benefits
With outstanding beauty, durability, and a range of shapes and sizes, all of which are designed for indoor and outdoor use, our planters are the Rolls Royce of container gardening.
Here are some of the key differences that set our planters apart:
- Drainage: Our fiberglass planters are designed with drainage holes at the bottom which allow excess water to flow out. This helps prevent waterlogging and root rot, and ensures the plants receive the right amount of moisture for optimal growth. Drainage holes are optional at the time of your order!
- Versatility: Our planters come in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and colors, thus providing a plethora of options to choose from. They can be used to grow any kind of plant, be it small or large, indoors or outdoors.
- Design: Our planters are available in various design styles, from traditional to modern to commercial. We hand-finish every single planter with your choice of 20 colors painted to suit any decor style.
- Mobility: Fiberglass planters are lightweight and can be easily moved around, which creates flexibility in plant placement, and also allows for experimenting with different lighting and temperature conditions.
- Customization: Custom fiberglass planters can be made in unique designs that cater to the specific needs of the plant or your design space, making them ideal for wholesale and B2B customers. Contact us to learn more about wholesale opportunities!
- Cost-Effective: Planters are a cost-effective way to grow plants, as they do not require any additional expenses, such as garden beds or soil maintenance. Plus, by bringing plants into your space, you are increasing your air quality, and reducing noise and stress levels. Plus, studies show this can even increase your home’s monetary value!
- Durability: Planters are exceptionally durable and can withstand harsh outdoor weather conditions, and are also resistant to pests and other environmental factors.
- Eco-Friendly: Fiberglass pots are environmentally friendly as they are made from natural materials; fiberglass and resin. Fiberglass planters are safe to use around children and animals and do not leach any chemicals into the ground when used outside.
Fiberglass planters are the ideal choice for those who want to grow plants indoors or outdoors in a flexible, efficient, and cost-effective manner. They provide a perfect solution for those who are constrained by space or environmental factors but still want to enjoy the many benefits of gardening!

Fiberglass Planter Sizes
Do planter sizes matter? You bet they do. In fact, the wrong plant pot size can lead to:
- Tired-looking plants that boost depression rather than aesthetic value
- Catastrophic plant health failure
- Inability to arrange your plants in a coherent and cohesive way.
Let’s look at how to measure planter sizes properly!
Planter sizes are measured in inches (“) and usually go up in increments of 2”.
To get a rough measurement of your plant pot, simply measure the diameter (the distance across the pot).
For some applications such as in commercial landscape design, you may need to calculate the volume of the container to know how much soil to buy. This is done with the formula: length x width x depth.
The plant pot size can also vary depending on what kind of plant you want to fill the container with. While it’s recommended to research your plant to find out its preferences, generally, large plants and trees require large containers, and small plants need small planters.
You also need to consider the location of the pot. Small flower pots fit well in indoor areas, like window shelves and tabletops while large planters are usually suited for outdoor use.
You may also want to consider the height and length of the plant and pot in order to reach specific goals. For example, a long rectangular planter can support hedges used for privacy. But now, we are entering the topic of planter shape.

As mentioned before, certain shapes not only lend to different styles and aesthetics, but they also determine the functionality and even safety of the planter. For example, large rectangular planters provide a heavy foundation that is ideal for top-heavy plants.
Whereas, round-planters go best with a selection of flowers, a small and neatly pruned bush, or drooping Ivy. Square planters look great with ornamental grasses or succulents like snake plants that accentuate the vertical lines of the planter.

Fiberglass Planter Colors
As discussed, fiberglass planters are a popular choice among gardeners and landscapers due to their durability, lightweight, and versatility. One of the most appealing aspects of our fiberglass planters is the range of colors we offer.
Fiberglass planters are available in a wide variety of colors, making it easy to find the perfect match for any décor or landscaping project. From classic neutrals like black, white, and gray to bold, eye-catching colors like red, blue, and green, fiberglass planters offer something for every taste.
The color of a fiberglass planter can have a significant impact on the overall look and feel of a space. Neutral or earth-toned planters tend to blend in well with natural surroundings, while brightly colored planters can add a pop of color and visual interest.
When choosing a color for a fiberglass planter, it is also essential to consider the plants that will be placed in them. Some plants look best when paired with neutral or complimentary colors, while others benefit from the contrast of bold, vibrant hues.
Some popular color combinations for fiberglass planters include:
- Black, dark blue, or gray planters paired with vibrant green plants or colorful flowers
- White or ivory planters paired with pastel blooms or green foliage
- Brightly colored planters paired with contrasting foliage or flowers, such as orange planters with yellow plants and flowers or blue planters with orange flowers.
Our fiberglass planter colors are highly customizable. In addition to the 20 standard colors we offer, our customers can send us the RAL code of any custom color of their choice. This allows you to match your planters to specific branding or design preferences.

Fiberglass Planter Installation
With the perfect plants and fiberglass containers to suit the desired decor, now it’s time to plan the installation.
When arranging an outdoor space, it’s important to consider the plant’s environmental needs. For example, your plant may need a semi-shady spot in order to stay cool, or it may even need to be brought inside during the winter.
Fiberglass pots have lots of use cases. For example, they are ideal to use as space dividers for living areas in gardens and restaurant patios. They can also create privacy when paired with the right plants, such as around a pool or on a balcony.
If you do place your planter on a hard surface, for example, a concrete patio, you can protect it from scratches by putting padding on the bottom. It is also not a good idea to set the container directly on grass or dirt. Though most planters typically come with feet to raise them off the ground, they can sometimes sink into a garden. This will block the drainage holes and may discolor your pot and cause harm to your plants.
One way to avoid these problems is to use a planter tray or make sure the planter is set on firm ground.
No matter where you install your fiberglass planter, know that it’s exceptionally lightweight and strong so don’t worry about breaking it if you decide you need to rearrange your planters at a later date!

Fiberglass Planter Maintainance
Fiberglass planters stay looking beautiful for years and require very little maintenance. Though there are a few tricks you can use to keep your planters looking as new as possible.
- Use lightweight potting soil in your containers to avoid cracking or bowing over time or when moving the planter.
- Avoid harsh cleaning products and abrasive cloths that scratch your container. Instead, gently wipe the planters using mild soap and a soft cloth.
- Inspect your planters to nip any cracks in the bud. If you notice any damage, get them repaired as soon as possible. It is easy to repair small scratches with touch-up paint, and larger chips or dents can be filled with epoxy.
Our best tip yet: Buy your planters from a reputable company like ourselves. Not only do we protect your planters with a 3-year warranty, but we will also help you select the right planter for your project. You’re welcome to give our planter experts a call at any time.
